“But now thus says the Lord, they created, you know, Jacob and he that formed you, O Israel fear not for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers they shall not overflow you.”
Fear is a natural emotion that affects everyone at some point in life. But as Christians, we don’t have to let fear control us. God knows that we fear, and that’s why He says many times in His Word, do not fear. Thankfully, God doesn’t get mad at us for having this emotion. Instead, He speaks to us to comfort us, to give us assurance so we stop fearing and start trusting.
In Colossians 1, The Lord says, do not fear, for I am with you. The Lord is with you when you face any trial or tremendous difficulty. When you pass through the deepest waters, He says, I will be with you. He does not say IF you pass through the waters, He says WHEN. This means we will all face challenges, but we can trust the Lord will always be near.
Let’s thank God today that He is always with us and will never leave or forsake us, even in life’s worst storms.
Lord Jesus, bless me with faith to believe Your Word to cast all cares and worries upon You. I ask for Your wisdom during difficult times and pray that You will work all things together for good and lead me to a place of abundant joy. I love You, Jesus, and I’m so grateful for Your love for me. It’s in Your Name, I pray, amen.
